The End of Small Talk

The End of Small Talk

I definitely don't agree with everything in this, but the premise is quite a lovely one, and it cuts to the core of how I try to engage with the world: ultimately talking about and doing things that aim to get to the truest version of who you are. Things you love and fear, questions about why you fell in and out of love, what do you DREAM about, what your happiest Saturday morning looks like, why are you SO passionate about meatballs and why Charlotte's Web was the most emotional thing you've read recently. I don't know.

Small talk has its place of course, and everything needn't be heavy and weighted, but I know this: I can't exist well where I can't explore, and where I'm not questioned myself. I'm quite happy with that.
