What are the Final Things We'd Say to People?

What are the Final Things We'd Say to People?

This is how the episode is described:

Words can seem so puny and ineffective sometimes. On this show, we have stories in which ordinary people make last ditch efforts to get through to their loved ones, using a combination of small talk and not-so-small talk.

Which, of course, captivated me immediately. Over the course of an hour, two big stories are told (one about the the tsunami that devastated Japan in 2011, another about two older estranged brothers) and the theme is powerful: how do we speak to the people we love, and what do we miss or regret or wish was different now that we can't anymore? I find it an immeasurably haunting notion, and if you're anything like me, you might find yourself wandering around New York listening to this happy that your sunglasses are hiding some watery eyes.
